Increase your Traffic, the Number of Visitors to your Blog
Traffic is what you need to increase the number of visitors to your site. You don’t need millions of visitors, but you do need them. The more you get the more you can earn. People respond differently to each blog or website they visit or even consider visiting.
If you learn to understand what your readers want, then you can set your blog up so that it will appeal specifically to them. You can also reach out to companies for partnerships and sponsorship, who can influence your viewer to take the next steps. It is not about the quantity of visitors, but about those who stay and act on your comments.
To help you plan who the best audience is to address and how to track those sponsors in an organized way, I created a Blog Planner to record all sorts of information about your blog and your traffic. It will help you to increase your traffic while managing your business.
There are so many ways to increase the number of visitors to your site or blog we could write an entire book about it. For now, though let’s consider a few of the more popular methods for attracting visitors to your blog. These are the methods I personally use and what brought you to my site originally.
Increase your Traffic
Do Your Research – Keyword research for SEO is essential for page optimization. You might get lucky and include keywords without knowing it with your content on a topic. However, there are a number of tools and techniques for finding related keywords relevant to your blog post that you may not have considered. Yoast SEO Plugin is one of them.
Quality Information – Make sure your Blog’s are of high quality using descriptive words related to the topic. It must answer the readers question as to why they ended up on your page, if it does, they will keep coming back. So try to aim for about 1000 words in your articles. More is great, but not too much less. Another idea is that pictures speak volumes too in helping to make a return visit. Make your Headline standout with your keywords and that it has a “Catchy” ring to it. So Address the problem and provide a Call to Action Answer.
Social Media – Be active on your advertised social media accounts. Let visitors know you have a blog and how to find it. Let Blog readers see that you are up-to-date with your activity online – not a robot. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, TicTok.
Other Social sites – Pinterest has become huge lately, and you can post an image that will attract customers to visit your website based on the content of that image. Give it a catchy title and description. YouTube is another one where you can post short videos with links back to your blog.
Be Consistent posting – You should try to publish your blogs at least every week if you want to make money from them. Be regular, or your followers will forget about you. If you have more than one Niche then you need to post a couple of times a week.

There’s more…
Other Bloggers – There are many other bloggers out there and most of them want to work with you, not compete against you. Network with them. Tell their story on your blog and they will promote you too. Meet up if they are local, and talk strategy, two heads are better then one when it comes to making money.
Share your Content – Make sure you have your links set up to easily share your blog via social media. Also, it has to have the Title, Link and username for your Blog. Make the Social links very visible on your site too. Nothing worse than finding the perfect article for you and then not being able to tell others. Visitors will just leave and may never find you again. A missed opportunity.
Search Engine Optimisation – SEO is another whole book on its own. Which means you need to have it on your site, with keywords that will standout on all the major search engines. Take time to make your wording appealing to Search Engines, make it flow. Include both internal and external links and try to get others to link to you. Again the Yoast SEO plugin provides amazing results here which will increase your traffic.
Linking Pages – Make sure you use headers and paragraphs to make a memorable point easier to find. On your website, make sure the navigation bar is set up properly and that your categories, tags, and search bars all work. Also include links to other related blog or pages a regular part of your post.
Email is another Option
Another great way to get more traffic to your blog is via email advertising. You provide a sign up form on ALL of your pages for visitors to become a subscriber. Then you send them a series of emails telling a brief note about your latest blog or an advertisement for your products or anything you want them to know.
Why would people give away there personal email address to you (or anyone)? Well for one thing , to get something in return! This is called a Lead Magnet, you offer them something as long as they agree to receive “some” emails from you. What can you offer? A sample of your product or service, or a free eBook about something related or a series of useful links to help them. Or the best one is links to your private blogs that no one else has access to. (Like a membership).

By your applying these ideas, it will increase your traffic and make you more visible to your readers.
Many bloggers fail to take advantage of the enormous marketing potential of their blogs. About 65% of blog owners have not updated in the past year! When you provide fresh, relevant content with basic blog post optimization, you can take advantage of the current SEO. Don’t fall into that trap.
